The Internet Archive is supposedly over 99 petabytes in size. That’s an unfathomable amount of data.

Forgive me because I’m not very familiar with the technology, but 99 petabytes (estimated size of the Internet Archive) seems like a little much for even a large network of home computers.

Don’t get me wrong, decentralizing would be great, but I just don’t understand how it would be done at this level, especially when, in the grand scheme of things, I don’t think there’s a whole lot of people who would pitch in.

Had a 3 page paper I had to write, ended up being just over 14 pages, 16 after the footnotes were added.

I had to completely rewrite it because I knew my prof wasn’t going to read that paper, but when I turned in the assignment I turned in both of them.

What bias would that fall under? One could assume the variation has to do with the average American’s trust of law enforcement vs their trust of a qualified person.

(Assuming the repeat experiments were done in the US that is)

I’m curious how that constituted not just community rules, but sitewide rules

Smaller communities tend to make the radical groups stick out more.

There were no doubt those types of people on Reddit, but they were easier to ignore since they were unmistakabley a minority.
