Per year, that’s still cheaper than most of their competition by far.

Not cheaper than the plethora of sites you can use to watch things for free. Lol.

Not everyone defaults to piracy when things are priced sanely.

Yeah. Only people with more sense than wealth spend their money wisely.

Suckers on the other hand are glad to pay for things they could get for free just to make rich people richer.

Or, people with enough money are happy for convenience over the headache and risk of piracy. But I get your point.

If everyone did that, there wouldn’t be any shows to pirate. Don’t shit on the people that are allowing these shows to exist.

I mean, at least that’s the ANNUAL rate, which comes to less than six dollars per month! If Netflix were that cheap, I wouldn’t have cancelled their account with me.

      Per year.

Starz itself increased monthly subscription costs from $8.99 to $9.99 just a few months ago.

It is interesting that the annual is so much cheaper.

i think that’s gonna become the norm as prices keep going up and up… hopping from service to service. binge. switch. repeat. maybe a month ‘off’ here and there.

i’m still on hiatus from paid services here. been nearly a year since my last paid ‘month’ anywhere. tubi, pluto and rokuchannel have been ‘good enough’–i don’t even miss the subs at this point.

Gross. Why don’t they just watch it on a free streaming website?

My guess is payment platform fees, when you only need to make 1 payment a year that could save $0.30 x 11 or $3.30 a year in fees (assuming they use stripe).

You either hate Stars or don’t understand that’s cheaper than any other streaming company.

Don’t get me wrong I don’t know a dang thing about them but for 5.99 I would be willing to try it for a month.

I remember when their VOD was first a thing maybe 10-15 years ago back when my parents had cable. They had a pretty decent selection, they just didn’t rotate content too often. No idea where they’re at now though.
