Ill never understand why men are all dressed up (no skin showing), while women are showing skin (arms, legs, feet, shoulders). Not against it, just curious.
Patriarchal society sees women as possessions to show off, not equal humans who deserve comfort and function. Add to that capitalism which in turn creates ways to and prioritises profit over those same comfort and function (from this idea of having constantly changing “trends” that require buying more things to stay “with it”, to things like not putting pockets in our clothes so that we need to buy bags). The history of fashion is actually a really great and clear way to observe this.

My mom has said the same thing whenever there’s a dinner scene in a Hollywood movie or news about Oscars and they’re showing who is there.
We’re Indians, for context.

I would find the skin showing to be much more comfortable than the suit if we’re in the summer heat, tbh.
Way to miss the point…
What is your point?
