I cant believe they are a time traveler from the year 1.9473E5554 that has come to fight fascism in the year 2025. I wonder why they started using factorials to refer to years in the future

Biggest respect for this people fighting again against fascism.

Anyway they fought the ruling fascism but not fascism. In other words, after Hitler’s death, the fight against fascism was over, that problem was the Nazis who fled to America, for example, or went into hiding somewhere else. They were able to spread their hatred and ideas for decades. So that there are so many of them again. Above all, however, they were able to re-establish their hate-filled politics in Europe and America in peace.

The assumption that “the nazis” are responsible seeding these right-wing extremists like Trump is imo very naïve. These people have always existed, in every culture. Now that the time is “right” they’ve appeared again. The nazis were this group of people, but in Italy they were the fascists, and prior to WWII these kind of movements where growing everywhere. Economic hardship seems to drive people to the political extremes, and the far right preys on those people.

For generations since the second world war we’ve said “never forget”, and yet we’ve seemed to have forgotten. With almost no survivors left, every political grouping seems to have their own “memory” of WWII. And so the cycle of hate seems to have started another dark chapter.

Once again for the record… I’m talking about fascism in the direction of National Socialism… National Socialism has been the stupid Nazis is that so hard? So look at the past history of Trump’s family… So trumps way etc resembles National Socialism the most. Of course, this kind of thinking has spread because of the Nazis who fled and because the whole Nazi shit is not banned in America.

So all this doesn’t mean that there is only this and I’m not denying the other forms of fascism… that’s why I said in the beginning you fight against ruling fascism ( Nazi Germany… more or less Just Hitler ) but not against fascism itself. Of course, other hatred has also spread because it has been tolerated and ignored… if only because of Russia and China and their influence… Nevertheless, Trump’s approach is most similar to National Socialism.

Edith: Later, in history, it will be seen as a separate form of fascism one way or another. So it wouldn’t be mentioned as National Socialism or anything like that anyway, but as something separate.

Nonsense, there are always people like that everywhere, it does not take an “original Nazi” for some obscure reason. Normal people simply need to put them in their place to stop them from spreading their bullshit, let alone feeling safe or welcome.

To prove your point no original nazi is needed, there was that nazi rally recordings of which are avaliable.

When USA government took a wind of their future involvement in this war, they found that adoring fans of Hitler aren’t what you’d like to gain popularity at home while sending boys to Europe to catch the fucker. I don’t know the morals of politicians who took steps to tone down the Hitler-fandom, but the first layer of this onion is that - it was against the geological goals of the US - to enable that strain of nazism - at the time. Were they allowing the same populist mythology about the US to prevail, did american soldiers thought themselves superior to others, with their democracy, founding fathers, ammendments? Probably. But the original sin was erased in a public memory as the Axis-ov-Evil felt, the Cold War started and the US, especially, saw a boom in it’s prosperity.

But to counter your pov, I’d argue, there aren’t particular ‘people like that’, but social conditions of frustrated masses gullible enough to follow populists adressing their emotions, establishing their past as great and promising the return to that. These notions are just copycats of one another. The healthier the society the less we see the monsters constructed and enabled by it’s failures. There was some quote of Stephen (I created but abandoned my bluesky) King that in order to kill you’d need to have a bullet in your heart, and I believe that most deranged shooters who went on a probably suicidal killing spree against their own kind didn’t have that bullet initially, but they’ve been conditioned by the times like late Wheimar Republic, late Soviet state, and, probably, late America, if it won’t get of these rails.

Um, I’m talking explicitly about fascism in the direction of National Socialism. The USA is taking the path of National Socialism… of course you could also ask the illegal immigrant Trump who has now received his German birth certificate from Merz.

Hi! The context makes it clear that he’s protesting fascism at 102 years old, there’s no set up for a joke about that being his temperature in fahrenheit. Your joke sucks, but so does the current US administration. I hope you participated in the protests today :)
