this is already the case, except i can eventually reach a human that doesn’t understand english, reading an english script…
at least the AI won’t get frustrated and hang up on me.

“Israeli quadcopter drones opened fire on Palestinians who had gathered to receive flour brought by UN trucks”
well that’s about the most horrible thing ive ever heard of…
pretty easy, if soldering is easy:
(first result from amazon, not endorsement: https://www.amazon.com/Type-C-Trigger-Module-Supports-Output/dp/B08LDJBN8P)
it’s not really a worry, it’s a plain fact
it’s not about the $10, it’s the principle…
Suicide is the biggest killer of people under the age of 35 and the biggest killer of men under the age of 50
(i will probably be in that second statistic)
it’s all bots there now…
freeze peachers?
no distractions…
one metaphor i heard is, holding a program in your head is like building a house of cards, every time a phone rings or something breaks your concentration, you have to rebuild the house
(that’s cool… my environmental science teacher spent a minute on how volatile organic compounds (VOC’s), such as gasoline fumes, are really bad for the environment, and most people don’t operate the pump in the exact proper way to not release said fumes… but gas station attendants are taught how, and that’s why it’s the law in oregon…
probably not the original reason it was a law in NJ in the 40’s, sure…)
oh ive been there.
i had the manager at a mcdonalds refuse me once, so i ended up showing him the law on my phone… which didn’t convice them… so i emailed corporate, who called me back, and the store… and then the store had the law printed on the window at the entrance…
the next time i tried it there, had to still get a manager who said “i’ll just do it this one time”
and i kept letting him know that i know he has to every time…
there’s more to that:
Any gift certificate sold after January 1, 1997, is redeemable in cash for its cash value, or subject to replacement with a new gift certificate at no cost to the purchaser or holder.4 Effective January 1, 2008, any gift certificate with a cash value of less than $10 is redeemable in cash, which includes currency or check, for its cash value.
i would too, if they weren’t all around me…
most people don’t
in California, all gift cards $10 or less can be redeemed for cash.
you may have to argue with employees and management, but its the law… it’s also a misdemeanor for the cashier to refuse it to you.
(there’s actually good environmental reasons for that)
whoa, im not blaming impoverished people with poor english from taking customer service jobs… they’re doing what they can with what they have…
im saying customer service is already practically a black hole… just instead of an AI that doesn’t understand or help with your problem… and regurgitates pieces of a script inappropriately, we already have that right now but with humans.
