Rocket league toxicity is just so funny to me. Not only is it a game about funny cars playing football, but also console players can’t chat, so what they do is spam things like: nice shot, good save. I only played a few hours of rocket league, and my teammates HATED me. I didn’t even do that bad, and yeah, i also wished i wasn’t a noob.
I still remember the launch trailer. People hanging out. 10 people skydiving in a formation. People having fun in general. In reality? Get shot, get blown up, get shot by heatseeking missiles, get sniped from across the map. I played gtao on launch for a bit and then maybe a year later to see what it’s like. It was miserable, and i don’t get it.
I was really surprised how rivals got so toxic. Are you gonna yell at some cild playing a game that is geard towards children? Pathetic. I got yelled at as a solo healer with a team full of dps. I got yelled at for not having a lot of kills as tank. People start throwing games if they don’t like something. Ranked is the only game mode that is playable because of the bot matches. Ranked is also ass because it’s pretty easy to rank up, it’s less about skill and more about putting hours in. They have such a weird ranking system. People think they are hot shit because they are diamond or gm. But in overwatch terms, being diamond would be gold or silver.
I think it’s only getting worse. I always assumed the next generation will be more tech savvy than the last one. I had to learn windows/mac/dos when i grew up, just to play some video games. There was a lot of troubleshooting and hardware problems i had to figure out. When i was 25, people would tell me that their 5 year old can use their ipd better than they can. (Ipads just came out.) I thought these kids are gonna be computer wizards when they grow up. It was the absolute opposite. I talked to these kids when they were around 16 again, and they were absolutely clueless. If it wasn’t an ipad or an app they could use, they might as well play with a piece of glass. Can you do … On an ipad? Hmm, what app is that? It’s not an app is something you do, like a setting. Hmmm… I’ll check the app store.
I really liked ebay like 20 years ago. Now at least here, it’s just for people dropshipping stuff or sell stuff super overpriced. Like more expensive than new. It’s such a weird place.
I used to use amazon mainly if i looked for some item that i didn’t even nnow existed, because their search function used to be pretty good. Or to get ratings on a product or whatever. I rarely ever bought something. Now all that is useless. No matter what you search, they show the sposored shit, and the ratings are stupid, most things are temu dropshippers.
