You can get two more for $10 from teslas site… but I believe you need one to program them. My wife and I keep ours in our wallets, just in case phone keys don’t work or get stolen.

It’s something they “broke” recently. You used to require a physical card to pair a new phone key. I noticed when I replaced my phone that it was no longer needed. They should be able to fix it easily, but I’m sure they won’t.
You can enable pin to drive to reduce the risk, but if you have the creds and there is no 2FA on the account then you can use the app to bypass it.
They are doing you a favor. I bought my kid a Dell laptop (xps13) for college and 6 months later the battery life dropped from 12 hours to 2 and Dell support said it was normal and refused to do anything about it. That was after the original order which was supposed to take 6 weeks for delivery (bad enough) actually took 14 weeks. It arrived two days before they left for school. Worst experience ever.
The replacement MacBook Air was delivered to their dorm the next day and has been flawless since (over a year now). It actually cost less too.
I’m actively looking for opportunities to use AI to replace the work I do, and not finding many effective ones so far. Sure it can write some crappy code for me, but writing code comes after the hard part, which is identifying the problem and how it could be solved with tech. Novel problems need novel solutions and an LLM can’t generate those.
Unfortunately it seems to work. My hillbilly relatives in AB/SK eat it up.
Love this! Cool visuals, great data presentation and interesting.
Soundbooth Theater does “audio immersion” versions of some books and they are amazing. It is genre fiction, but if it they are your genres then you should check them out! (Horror, fantasy, sci-fi, etc)
I moved from Canada to the USA, and what I have seen is that Canada is less unequal than the US. If you are working class in Canada there is at least some social safety net. In the US the rich are richer and the poor are poorer. Canada is moving that way but still has more protections for those on the bottom.
Does it matter? Housing should be a right, not an investment. The reliance on housing as a savings mechanism has driven up the cost of housing in Canada. No one (wealthy) wants housing values to drop, as it would destroy their retirement resources.
Public safety should be the government’s responsibility. Why are they expecting a private foreign organization to do their job? And to be penalized for doing it?
This was such an obvious result of their passing C-18 that their complaints just amplify their ignorance and lack of foresight passing bills to appease local media lobbyists.
You are paying to use Google, with all your data feeding their advertising machine.
