It’s like we’re on a speed run toward the near-future Charlie Brooker warned us about.
But TBF, “Hang the DJ” was one of the few Black Mirror episodes that wasn’t a total downer.
I’m surprisingly level-headed for being a walking knot of anxiety.
Ask me anything.

Maybe I’m remembering early/beta Teams with rose tinted spectacles, but at the very least the silver lining was that I no longer needed to keep a separate Windows machine running just for work IM.
I even tried adding it to Citrix, but it refused to install on a server version of Windows.
We used to use it before switching to Google Workspace (don’t get me started on how much I hate that), and Teams wasn’t too bad. But it had two things going for it then:
Update: Found the banner. Thanks, Wayback Machine!
Just going to leave this horror here. It’s the post feed logic from Tesseract that determines what posts should be displayed or hidden.
Yeah, I’m just very spatially-challenged, and I think that’s where my academic understanding and actual understanding breaks down.
I was in advanced math classes from like 4th grade all the way up to AP Calc 2 my junior year. Aced all of them except trig. I just could not wrap my head around it.
My friend thanks you.
I showed that to my friend, and I still don’t think they got it.
I, a smart person, totally get the joke. But could you explain it to my friend?
I steadfastly refuse to accept an apology on behalf of single-issue voters. Those abstentions and/or third party protest votes got us here. Anyone who refused to coalesce around (or at least hold their nose and vote for) the biggest “not Trump” candidate was failing to see or even acknowledge the bigger picture and larger threat. And now we all have to pay for that.
The electoral votes in a state go to the single candidate with the most votes. “Not Trump” was not a candidate. Furthermore, a third party candidate was never going to win. So, I will absolutely blame these so-called “allies” as I find them to be worse than the people who voted for Trump (at least they were honest about what they were doing).
I sincerely hope there is a future election where they have learned something from this. In the mean time, good luck everyone.
The thing they don’t tell you about showing up to vote is that there often are sexy singles in your area.
Just in case anyone needs some extra motivation.
I just quoted the episode lol
But also, the running joke in the show is that he’s an alien that laughs at our elementary understanding of physics.
That,too.
I’ve been meaning to try out a Fairphone
Framework needs to make a phone lol.
I used to fix phones back in the dumbphone days. Other than needing a special screwdriver, it was extremely straightforward as long as you were careful with the ribbon cables. I guess I don’t have anything to add, lol, I was just reminiscing.
I actually still have two of the tiny torx screwdrivers I used to use. They’re magic because they seem to fit about every tiny random device I’ve needed to disassemble and I’ve had them for 17 years without losing them.
I want to see OpenAI fail, but not like that.
And watch the next season of that show I like and condense it down to a bullet point list of spoilers. (/s if not obvious)
I hate it on both ends.
If I ever lose my current job (I actually like it and am planning to retire from this one unlike all prior ones), I’ll probably just go live in the woods or work some unskilled job. Not that I’m unskilled; I just have no desire to deal with what passes for job seeking these days.
Black Mirror didn’t do that one, but American Horror Stories did:

Which is surprising because that show normally kinda sucks. Got roped into watching it last year, and I forgot I was watching AHS halfway through and almost thought it was a new Black Mirror.
