9·17 hours agoI know deer are generally pretty skittish, and not aggressive towards people, but would there ever be a situation where someone should be worried about getting gored by those antlers if you’re too close?
It’s nice to see memes like this and be surprised that I don’t actually forget all of the calculus I ever learned

2·3 days agoIt’s because they use proprietary codecs that Valve can’t freely distribute.
Interesting… I knew this was the solution to the video issue, but didn’t know why.

Linux@programming.dev•Fix your Windows PC by Installing Linux Mint
5·3 days agoI can only speak to Bazzite, but it’s super easy to install. GUI installer, walks you through it step by step.
People might say that you are restricted with Bazzite, but that isn’t really true. You can do pretty much anything you can do on an non-immutable OS, it’s just a different process. You just use rpm-ostree instead of dnf. Tons of shit on google if you search.

4·6 days agoBazzite isn’t really limited in any way, there are just different ways to do certain things because it’s immutable.
Assuming that’s what your meant by “form factor.” Aside from that, it just runs like any other distro with KDE

My experience gaming on Linux the past few years is that I have not encountered a single game that hasn’t worked. And 90%+ work with no tinkering whatsoever.

Good to know… I just look at those antlers and my first instinct is “nope,” even though I know that they’re usually pretty gentle. They’re still wild animals, and can do unpredictable things.
