Fuck not cropping out the reddit bar.
StarCraft 2. No friends, only ladder. Get him practicing now and he’ll be winning RTS tournaments before he’s 20 like Clem.
Oh yeah, you’re right!
Looks like the laptop is the only computer, so the rest of the gear is connected to it. It’s probably floating to save desk space, as he doesn’t need the touchpad and keyboard.
One of the main reasons I like using Mastodon for work is the fact that it’s completely separate from the large social networks. It’s only used by people who are committed to creating a new, better place. I don’t think users of Threads (or Xitter, for that matter) would have anything to offer for me.
It allows for more precise content filtering. Say you hate Star Trek but you like the people on the Star Trek instance, you can now solve that in one click
Adding an option “Block all users from this instance” would be a good addition, though.
One of the other advantages of LW is that it’s run from the EU and thus has to comply with the GDPR. Given all the shit that Reddit pulled during the exodus, this may have been an additional reason for people to choose LW over one of the North American instances.
There are a lot of Asian female fronted rock bands, like BabyMetal, Lovebites, Gacharic Spin and Asterism. EDIT: also Hanabie.
A lot of symphonic metal bands are like that. On the top of my head, you could check out Nightwish, Within Temptation, Epica and Unleash the Archers.
Melissa Bonny does a lot of collaborations with other bands, just search her name on Youtube.
I still check some niche subreddits every few weeks, but only on my desktop, with RES. It’s a bummer that not every community is present on Lemmy yet, because I’m missing certain news and events now.
Yeah, the Runeterra universe is awesome! I played LoR for two years, basically for the lore and the art card. I burnt out on the game, but I still miss those aspects.
The release of Arcane was awesome as well, with all kinds of different media experiences. Looking forward to season two (November 2024 D: ).
It can be fun to look at the completion rate for achievements like “finished the tutorial”, “beat the first boss” and “reach the good ending”. In some games it’s surprisingly low.
My gut says it either has to do with the way shows were filmed, or it’s a leftover from theatrical plays.

Spotify is really good with recommendations. I think they use different algorithms for the different personal playlists: the Release Radar seems to use my followed artists and all my playlists, while Discover Weekly uses my recent listening history.
I think it’s pretty standard in the EU.
For me, it will start feeling “right” about 15 minutes after I start studying or working. You need a while to get into it, to get warmed up.
