2 days agoYes, they’re one of the many (I think The Guardian does this as well?) media outlets in the UK that use “gender-critical” when they should use TERF / trans-hate (meaning they’re spineless cowards).

13·12 days agoFrom what years are these? I recently installed Linux on a crappy laptop from 2018 (Inspiron 7373) and everything works perfectly except that it never wakes up from sleep on multiple distros (updated and changed lots of things in BIOS as well, no dice).
Depends on you definition of fine, I guess.

To be fair, I have never used Blender with an Amd GPU and it’s a very real possibility that I wouldn’t notice and the differences are only there in tge benchmarks.
They also seem to have a pretty terrible I mean “classic” taste in typefaces.
Just FYI: I’ve never had an AMD Gpu (thanks to Blender’s support seeming poor) and while it j5as been spotty in the past, I’ve used Fedora, PopOS and Bazzite with zero Problems on NVIDIA. Drivers have come a long way in the last years.
1872·25 days agoI think it’s much sadder (more sad? saddest) that people fall for such absurd douche bags. If they would at least be sexy and seem smart you could understand how people could be fooled but this is just too hard to watch.
7·27 days agoI think PopOS is a good option for gaming since ypu can get it with NVIDIA drivers included if you need them but I’d reccommend looking at Bazzite as well:
Generally I’d say: Be prepared to keep an open mind, while you can use Linux like any other OS in most cases nowadays don’t get stuck on wanting to have everything, every workflow exactly like it is on Windoge. Try new things, tinker, it’s fun!
Good news! Weirdly enough, I can’t use tab groups (not able to drag tabs on top of each other, there is no option in right-click dialogue), though I am on FF 138.
Mh, I’ll check out how it works but if I don’t like it I can always stick with
