Thanks for digging those up! I figured it was somewhere around that range. I’ve had it be fairly accurate within a couple feet, but I’ve also had Bluetooth proximity show much further.

Anyone know what kind location accuracy Bluetooth 5 currently has?
It definitely does obscure the fact that the PC version includes VR itself. I’ll buy it for Quest and PC myself simply to support the studio and hopefully help make sure they produce games for a few more decades!
When they first announced the remake they didn’t mention anything about native Quest support, but they did talk about PCVR initially (which was the day I finally invested in VR hardware). I’m honestly surprised they got it running on the Quest, though it does look like they had to reduce detail by quite a lot to get to perform decently on the Quest.
For this particular game the PC version will support PCVR via Steam (and probably other ways as well).
Oh damn, I didn’t even catch that!
It is absolutely infuriating. It blows my mind that you can have a USB 3.2 Gen2 cable that does everything you need it to, except for the fact that it doesn’t support Power Delivery and a lot of the time you won’t even know, so if you’re sending high wattage through it there’s a real possibility you’re gonna burn some to kind up.
I know, it is a never ending source of minor comedy that “Universal” is right there in the name.
“USB 4 2.0”… someone should really do something about the incredibly goofy naming scheme.
It is more complicated than that. There are multiple different server components that make up Bluesky and its federation. The PDS (Person Data Server) is what they’re mostly talking about in that press release. You can however run all three major server components yourself and setup a completely separate network that would then federate with Bluesky proper. It’s quite different to Mastodon and other ActivityPub services (where you setup a Mastodon, Lemmy, WriteFreely, etc… instance and then federate).
Still, at present it does feel a little pointless.
I like your example there a lot, I’m going to use that in the future when I’m trying to express that notion. In the past I’ve never been able to articulate that exact concept. So thanks!
I miss the days of lickable Mac OS X as well. Been meaning to set up a virtual machine to run Tiger or something.
I have the same issue with solarized. I find a totally black background with light gray text to be the best for me. It’s funny, I’ve had migraines my whole life and yet I ended up working with screens and screens are an integral part of my hobbies.
I had completely forgotten about that particular method of file delivery. I wonder how many other things I don’t remember as well?
It’s crazy to me that a company can just abandon hundreds (or thousands?) of 700 pound machines all over the place like this. I feel like there should be some kind of court order for the person last in charge of the company to drive the fuck around the country and clean up their mess.
