  • Ah hell no. Those genocidal bastards went way way past “mission creep” decades ago.

I absolutely do not agree with your statement. Kinda find it, well, disgusting is a word for it.

This whole thing sounds far more like political posturing by Hamas in a desperate attempt to stay relevant; Israel has confirmed they’re taking the Gaza strip, after all. Oh, but it’s “Trump’s plan” in a pathetic attempt to ‘keep their hands clean’.

    This doesn’t change anything.

  • I’ve seen headlines over and over recently claiming that the death toll in Gaza from the recent escalation was being reported lower than the actual numbers. So I’m kinda confused.

Is there any reason Hamas would intentionally underreport the death toll? I can’t think of anything that would make sense. But I should probably point out that the claim that the actual number is higher did not come from Hamas.

Irregardless, the entire situation is appalling; this doesn’t really change that fact.

  • He’s one of my favorite authors; I’ll always recommend reading anything by Terry Brooks!

Have you heard of the Shanarra series? There was a TV series some years back based on the books that aired on MTV. Plus just a whole bunch of books he wrote. Anyway, Shanarra is a fantasy setting in the general style of Tolkien, but with lots of cool unique twists. Anyway, in the books he hints that the world used to be a lot like ours, but then apocalyptic wars reawoke magic while science and technology of course were lost. Eventually he did write I think two trilogies that start in a near modern alternate Earth and describes the series of events that transform that start into the fantasy setting he’d established previously.

Oh, and recently he apparently blew up the world of Shanarra for good! Like, on a cosmic scale the bad guys win I guess, so game over? I dunno I haven’t had a chance to read the last trilogy yet so no spoilers!

If you’re new to the series, he recommends starting with Sword of Shanarra. But if you want to read in the order of chronological events, then you should start with Running with the Demon.
