Ontario, Canada.
Love being outdoors, motorcycling, jogging, or just walking.
4G had a lot of the same issues as 3G, but 5G was a complete redesign (including security). It was supposed to have been way harder to break than previous generations.
For the record, I mean the racists
“No, but this time it’s different!”, they all say…
There’s something unsettling about PostMedia eating up all of these locals. They’ve shown that they’re interested in being Fox News for Canada; playing fast and loose with facts, and stoking fear and anger.
Yeah, I like that! 👍 Corporations don’t make decisions… Those people do
Not really something that is legal that should be illegal, but I would love to see this nonsense that corporate executives can’t be held criminally responsible (the corporation is) for their illegal acts. I think it would correct an awful lot of shitty things corporations do really quickly (assuming enforcement).
Sure, I can get behind that. The issue with our country isn’t immigration though. Like you said, it’s handing over our money and future to the Westons, etc. While we should be focused on that, we’re discussing immigration. This isn’t a new tactic and people fall for the bait so very easily
Yes yes… The vilification of immigrants is different THIS time.
But… but… All this time Canadian news media have been feeding me rage bait about immigration being the root of all of Canada’s problems. I don’t know what to think! /s
Funny you say that. One of our province’s far right premiers, blamed “progressives” for the same kind of rhetoric in Canada that led to the Trump shooting in the US.

Sounds like she’s getting her taking points from South of the border
But why won’t anyone think of the shareholders?!
Yeah, really appreciated that thorough breakdown!
Thanks for sharing. I have to say that the article has a heavy slant towards why we should be concerned with this policy (and we should, there are some very valid questions raised), without addressing the elephant in the room, of Chinese government interference in Canada.
It doesn’t help that the authors get some very easy details wrong, like:
The pushback is in reaction to the New Policy on Sensitive Technology Research and Affiliations of Concern (hereafter New Policy) announced by the ministers of Health, Public Security, and ISEC (Innovation, Science and Economic Development) in January. The policy prohibits research collaboration with Named Research Organizations in Sensitive Technology Research Areas
That should be Public Safety, and ISED.
I take your point, except that it’s the PPS, and not the OPS that have jurisdiction on the hill. According to the article, the RCMP apparently want them to be limited to checking bags for visitors.
It’s a weird take, and a bit of a territory grab.

Can’t just do the right thing - have to make a political game of chicken with it 🤬
With the way things have been going, get a skate in while you can! Who knows if it will even open next year.
The MAGAs are winning, even here.
Almost like Sam Altman is just another run of the mill tech bro scam guy.
