Yeah, it seems like a risky play for the NDP. They’re unlikely to be more powerful post-election. If it looks like the Cons are gonna win, people are more likely to vote strategically for the Libs to keep them out. It seems like they have a lot to lose. It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out over the next few weeks.
It seems like a bad time to call an election. I’m a bit skeptical we won’t be looking at an election very soon though. Singh released what is a basically a campaign video earlier today, so it seems like they think it’ll be soon 🤷♂️

On top of knowing who you are, where you are, whether you’re single or married, whether or not you have children, where you work, when you work, what your interests are, what your embarrassing interests are, etc. etc. etc.
People are weirdly blase about this but, if you use TikTok regularly, they have such a wealth of information about you that an intelligence agency would find it trivial to compromise you. You’re just gambling that you’re not worth compromising.
It’s probably worth noting though that the only distro Valve officially supports is the latest Ubuntu LTS running KDE/Plasma, Gnome, or Unity. That doesn’t mean you’ll have problems on other distros – and you probably won’t! – but Ubuntu is the distro they’re testing on. Valve also maintains Ubuntu-specific troubleshooting resources as well.

I’ve never used post and I haven’t heard anyone talk about them in a long time but they were pushed as a big deal after Musk bought Twitter. Kara Swisher and a lot of rich tech bros were trying to convince everyone they were the Next Big Thing around the time of the big wave of migrations to Mastodon.
