It does come pre-installed on some computers depending on the provided OS and the changes made by the manufacturer. If you install your own fresh version of windows, it should only be installed if windows believes you need it for the component to function.

My last pre-built came with a bunch of garbage before I wiped it with a fresh copy of windows and almost all went away. I would certainly not say Intel is the worst though, older dell machines and even relatively modern HP machines come with a bunch of “necessarily for the component to function” garbage that can’t really be uninstalled easily (windows will reinstall them).

Was a computer repair tech until a few months ago. About 6 months ago this older guy brought in his laptop because he had been hacked and they had changed his password. Was able to change the password to something new using some fancy tools but upon getting in all his files were still missing. Turns out OneDrive was on and ALL of his important files were only on OneDrive and not the computer. Well, Microsoft had changed his password when the hackers changed his computer password so he was locked out and Microsoft didn’t believe he owned the account anymore since he didn’t know the password. After weeks of calls he just gave up trying to get his stuff back.

Fuck OneDrive.

But something must have triggered the big bang.

That’s a separate claim you’d have to prove. We have no evidence of something triggering it, we don’t even know that it would need to be triggered. All of our observations occur inside this universe, therefore we have no idea at all if cause-and-effect even applies to the universe as a whole. This only ends one of two ways, either Israel succeeds in killing /displacing the people of Gaza (West Bank and Golem Heights next) and fills it with people loyal to them, or they stop the occupation. Terrorist groups don’t do well in stable, prosperous nations. If they really want Hamas and groups like them gone forever, they will have to take the winds out of their sails by letting the Palestinians have a real government with real control over itself. Even if they meet their stated goal of “destroying Hamas”, it (or another similar but even more extreme) group will take over.

I am obligated by my work to offer this to customers when they buy an HP printer and I make it really clear that it’s a bad deal for most customers. There are some edge case examples, like a lady with a small business who always prints exactly like 3 pages a day. The other customers who agree to buy it are almost always the super old people who don’t want to have to come to the store to get more ink. I think it’s a shit program that should be scrapped entirely, but some people really don’t care if it’s a bad deal as long as they get the convenience. No different than 7-11 up charging shit because it’s easier to buy it at the market down the street than the Walmart a few miles down the road.

Unless you do the online command so it pulls the most recent wim and does it on its own. I’ve got a batch file I use to fix computers at work that does the online dism followed by sfc and have had a few successes with it.

HP laser is still markedly worse than Brother laser. Much more expensive toner, harder to find and use off-brands, and (in my experience) much higher failure rates.

In general, toner is more robust than inkjet, but also HP is worse than Brother.

HP sucks donkey balls. Printer, computer, laptop, all-in-one, doesn’t matter. Friends don’t let friends by an HP.

That said, ET-2800 is an Epson brand printer, specifically the base-model “Eco-Tank” printer that uses bottles of ink instead of cartridges. HP makes a few under the “Super Tank” line. If that’s the right model number, that might help explain driver issues if you have an Epson printer being controlled by HP drivers.

If you plan on keeping it, make sure to set a calendar reminder or set up a task to print at least one color page every month to keep the ink from drying out in the print head. If you decide to replace it, consider a brother laser, especially the black-and-white only models. They are tanks

Europe (Britain mostly) and the US pushed the newly formed UN to pass a resolution calling for the creation of Israel in 56% of the territory, but the zionist militias actually took almost 75% of the land while destroying entire villages and murdering the existing population. Hamas’ stated goal is a product of Israeli actions. Terrorist groups calling for the destruction of another country don’t tend to form in stable, prosperous, and free countries.

Not to mention that Israel has been actively stealing Palestinian land for decades and recently argued to the UN that all of Palestine was a part of Israel. They aren’t exactly respecting the border either. They are also seen as an existential threat to the Palestinians.

Israel doesn’t see a two state solution as an option either. They either want full control over Palestine or a puppet state that they have almost total control over. No real Arab state would be allowed by them and they’ve made that clear.

Nothing good will happen until tensions deescalate, which can’t happen until Israel backs down from their occupation and oppression. You won’t stop making new terrorists until they are treated as people.

What if Russia kept this up for 50 years? What if they cut off power and water to Ukraine? What if they blockaded it for decades? Would you blame them for voting for a party that wants the Russians dead? Do you blame Afghan citizens for supporting the Taliban after a decade of American occupation?

Good luck finding anyone who thinks Hamas’ actions are good, but they are entirely predictable. Hamas is the only outcome that could ever happen with the environment Israel created and maintains to this day.

If riots are the voice of the unheard, terrorists are the voice of those unheard after decades of oppression and occupation.

You don’t hear people complain about Apple (anymore) because it’s accepted that you are buying into a walled-garden ecosystem when you buy Apple. That’s kinda its whole thing.

There are a few issues with Edge on Windows, one being set as the default out of the box, another being it’s inability to be uninstalled, another being it’s the only option when using windows built-on search, and yet another being it’s anything-but-one-click solution depending on the version of Windows in question. In some versions, you have to still go into default apps, find the browser you want, set it as default, click around the popup begging you to try Edge anyway, then go down the list of file extensions and select your browser for all the ones it doesn’t change on its own when you make it the default, some of which may popup again begging you to try Edge first. And when that’s done, you still can’t uninstall it or make it not open when using windows search.

For a product marketed as the opposite of a walled garden, it really is frustrating. Especially considering older versions of Windows had a built-in browser that could be uninstalled and could set another browser as default with one click from inside the new browser.
