A tale as old as time
A tale as old as time
In my part of Virginia, they have established noise laws. Seem pretty fair
ordinance defines daytime as 7 AM–10 PM on weekdays and 9 AM–10 PM on weekends and holidays, and nighttime as any time outside of daytime.
The ordinance limits noise levels to 60 decibels during the day and 55 decibels at night in residential areas.
The law has a surprising amount of detail regarding things like vehicle noise, construction, etc.

I’m dumb. Any advice on how to get started with something like that? I’d appreciate product recommendations appropriate for a newb
I’ll add “Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve” by Taylor. It’s a bonus track on Midnights and easily could’ve been the title track on a different album

I still haven’t recovered from a certain Season 2 episode
You reminded me of this story from 2018 when the Trump team tried to put someone in charge of government weather data so that they could shutdown free public access, allowing private companies to use it and commercialize it
“ One particularly alarming thread explored in Lewis’s reporting follows the ongoing efforts of Barry Myers, the chief executive of AccuWeather and Trump’s pick to run the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, to privatize the agency’s practice of collecting and analyzing data that helps generate weather warnings meant to keep all of us, and not just those who can pay for it, safe.”

I read the books and lined them up The show deviates from the books and should be considered “inspired by” That said, the show is made by people who also truly loved the books and characters, and they did a great job making an adaptation
