I used to love GNOME 2, but now it’s unbearable. It looks and it behaves as if it’s a toy for kids.
Also, why do apps have buttons in their title bar? It makes no sense.
I’m sad that a good open source project such as GNOME has become so bad.

I’d like to add that accessing your things from outside the home is relatively simple if you have a static IP and you setup a VPN to your home with Wireguard.
Some advanced routers even have native support for Wireguard, like the Freebox in France or the Iliadbox in Italy.

Problem is, 99% of people don’t even know what open standards are.

It’s because they don’t want to break compatibility with existing software. Which I understand, because if they broke old software then people could just migrate to Linux as well

We need to protect Linus at all costs.

The old Reddit interface is always the best one.
100% agree, we live in a 1984 age.
Also, using stupid words such as unalive doesn’t make any sense because the algorithm of social media companies knows exactly what it means.

Let’s all repeat: LLMs don’t know any facts. They’re just a thesaurus on steroids.

Em dash? Wikipedia.
Nice-looking quotes? Wikipedia.
Accented uppercase letters? Wikipedia.
(Yeah, I know. The last one can only be understood by Italian speakers; or speakers of other languages with stupid keyboard layouts)

A feature that has been present for 20 years, but never exposed in the interface. Truly magical.

Just like “Brazzers”. I wonder if they did it on purpose.

Also, let’s stop calling it “sideloading”. Sideloading has a bad vibe. We just want to INSTALL software on our own devices.

At this point, just pirate.

Also, it’s creepy that they check upvotes.

Yeah, I’m also interested. Why not? Better to sell it now that has value than just getting banned.

Some subreddits have become completely impossible to post to. Your posts get deleted right away.
Plus, the option to default to Old Reddit doesn’t work anymore. So fuck them.
I’ve just watched the new movie and damn it’s so stupid compared to the original ones.
That doesn’t solve discoverability of new content, which is one of the good features of Spotify
They connect to the Have I Been Pwned database in a secure way.
They make a hash of your password and send just the first characters.
