Since no one has mentioned it, USA has the same policy basically.
It is worse.
If the living partial liver doesn’t take hold, it dies off and becomes necrotic, and would need another surgery to take out or it’ll become necrotic and they’ll die of sepsis. It’s also unlikely they’d survive such second surgery, due to the already existing liver failure + first surgery trauma.
In this case, you’d be asking doctors to directly kill the patient in a more painful way for a very tiny chance that it may save them, on top of if they do survive, assuming they don’t relapse into alcoholism and die anyway. All while technically injuring someone else (the live donor).
There’s like a thousand Linux distros. Having one be ready and easy to use, no hassle or deeper knowledge needed, won’t stop the great many others that exist without bumper rails. Arch and Nix etc will still keep existing, so you can chill out, edgelord.
Wait, you know how to code for a 3D game? I know game design! We would just need to find the artist at that point, and I can help with fundraising
But it’s not free. You have to subscribe to X premium
Modded games too.
Linux is getting there, but it’s really only great for single player games now. That’s what I use it for
I mean, it exists, but it’s experimental and extremely expensive
Just install FydeOS then
It’s essentially just ChromeOS
Doesn’t get simpler than that.
That said, Ubuntu itself has been enough for my essentially computer illiterate dad. He never could use Windows but he at least learned basics on Ubuntu.
Yeah but the infotainment system can be Linux based.
I’ve found I prefer Fedora over debian builds for gaming, and Bazzite also includes literally everything needed for gaming of any kind already installed. Also it being immutable is really good in particular in case a game causes system issues. Bazzite also has great Steam Deck integration and desktop interoperability if needed, and can install emulators from the get go, along with many wine configurations for older Windows games.
It’s also nice to have my work space divided completely from my gaming one, and a debian build is great for productivity programs like audio mixing, 3d printing, and art, since there’s more stability and support vs bleeding edge like fedora.
Hence my dual boot set up (with separate ssd’s).
Now I just have to get around to writing a script to clean up the grub menu, street going through making it look pretty.
I have a dual boot, mint and Bazzite. Bazzite is great for gaming
What do you mean? Chanterelles taste great
But how many people are looking for Windows 3.1 anything today?
Well I suppose now there might be more
I think it’s the one in New York named Spyder Mann
BECAUSE pictures weren’t common, it was hard to start a new life. If you were an adult and knew no one in the town you arrived at, no one would trust you, give you a job or rent out a room to you. Cause they’d all assume there was a good reason you ran away from the place where people knew you, and there was no way to verify if you were who you claimed to be.
Ummm, people moved all the time. There wouldn’t be a reason to assume you were running from something. Have you never read a history book? You could even just be moving to a smaller town in the country side for “fresher air” to help your tuberculosis.
If you had a profession, you needed a letter of recommendation from your former employer or your guild to vouch for you.
Depends on the job, how much starting money you had, and where you’re moving too. You could for example say you’re moving to set up a chemist shop, especially in the smaller or more remote towns.
Yeah but back then pictures weren’t common and you could just grow a beard, decide your name is now Thames Twice, and move to another town really fast away while still letting your title as chemist, since document verification was really hard to do unless it was for some bigwig (and even then you could sometimes get in). If you really want to sell the act he could learn an exotic foreign language like Swedish and say he studied in Sweden too, but had English parents and that’s why he spoke English so fluently. Most of proving why you are cage by showing you could do the skills you claimed you had.
That’s why charlatans could live a life of scamming.
You could also just, idk, by Velcro shoes or get lock laces.
Edit: Got downvoted but that’s literally what my mother with arthritis uses. Lock laces and a shoe horn. Lock laces are basically the low tech and reliable version of what these app shoes have.
