I agree with you, but you might find the history of Zionism interesting. Before Israel, there was a sizable portion of Zionists that didn’t want Israel to exist in the middle east. There were also Zionists that didn’t want a ‘state’. They thought it was more important to have a safe place for a sizable Jewish population. There’s probably a lot of flavors of Zionism that you’d agree with. It’s the dominant Israeli Zionism that’s horrible.

When Harper was still in power, the Canadian government had a deal where the oil companies would get subsidized until the oil sands were profitable.
So Canada was giving the oil companies billions.

Trudeau rushed to buy the pipeline when it was canceled. Is that because the oil sands can’t be profitable without the pipeline, and this deal is bleeding Canada dry?

I think our three major parties are all neoliberal. They all want to do the same things, they just argue against how much to spend and who to give the money to.
There’s exceptions of course. Notably guns and marginalized people.
I’d prefer not to have a neoliberal government, but until then I’m voting for more freedom for everyone. (NDP or Green)

I’ve heard, so take with a grain of salt, that China likes Chiang’s ideology that China should be reunified.
The disagreement was who should be in power after.

Israel has attacked 4 different countries in it’s ‘war against hamas.’ It’s attacked, Syria, Lebanon, Iran and Palestine. They’re aggressively trying to escalate.

Taiwan has always been a bit fascy.

When Kai Cheks party split from the CCP, he ordered the killing of any communists still inside his own party effectively starting a civil war. Kai chek eventually lost and fled to Taiwan where he ruled until his death.

That bit of history is crazy interesting and also illuminating regarding current Chinese policy. I’d really encourage anyone to read up on it

Voting is the minimum. The reason there’s no decent alternative is because people vote and think they did their part.

MJ is a weird case. It’s super suspicious, but the fact that parents let kids sleep over is even more suspicious. As a parent, I’d never let my kids sleep over at mjs place. Especially with the rumors.
So why would a parent do that? Extortion seems reasonable.
Worst case, parents were feeding their kids to a child predator so they could extort a filthy rich guy.

Pick an issue. Literally any issue. Canada isn’t on the morally right side (with the exception of supporting Ukraine’s war for freedom).
People are fine. Landscape is amazing. Government at all levels needs to be gone. We’d be better off with actual criminal mobs running everything. They’d at least be competent

In the early 00s there were a lot of reports in alternative media about Israelis eating babies.

Israel should be abolished, but we don’t need to make up things to make that argument
