They’re only bilateral when they’re very young. And even then, everyone is just focusing on the eyes. The body of the fish is also not exactly bilateral. Just fillet a flounder of any age (or watch a video on it) and you’ll see.
Oh, I know. It’s very interesting. But when people imagine a flounder, they generally don’t imagine a juvenile unless juvenile has been specified.
I appreciate that information. However, flounders themselves are not bilaterally symmetrical. I have caught many dozens of them and it’s pretty easy to tell that they are not.
Flounders are not bilaterally symmetrical.
It was Vancouver, Washington and Portland, Oregon. Heavily blue areas closely surrounded by heavily right areas.
My migraines are actually usually without headache, just a lot of aura. That might sound not so bad, but it’s pretty bad.
They tend to start a bit insidiously, with a little bit of sensitivity to light and sound and, even more so, frequently changing or bright light and fast sound.
That’s when things start to feel overwhelming in my head, so if I’m not being obtuse, I recognize that it’s time to take medication. Sometimes my partner realizes it before I do because I’ll start covering my eyes and just mildly complaining about things being too bright or too much.
Anyway, at that point I take sumatriptan. It requires a prescription, but it’s not expensive. It works like magic for me.
Before I found sumatriptan, I would have to be in a dark, silent room with my head in a pillow.
I just deal with it unless it’s a migraine.
Probably the one where some strange artifact showed up and turned out to be highly radioactive, causing my skin to slough off.
I’ve never had a baby, but I will say that, when getting a new puppy, it’s best to have the first week off to get them settled in and develop a routine, etc.
So I’m going to guess you’re going to want a lot more than that for a human baby.
It was a lot less rapey in the show than in the book. Still rapey, though, yes
I really think a gun safety class should be required to own a firearm. However, I also see how that would violate the second amendment (by making it harder for those of lesser means to exercise their right to own a weapon because they do not have the same resources available to take a class).
I think that as long as we have the second amendment, we should be offering taxpayer-funded firearm safety courses in all states. And requiring them.
Gun storage requirements vary dramatically from one state to the next.
As an American gun owner, I would not give them the benefit of the doubt. There’s no reason they couldn’t have secured their weapon or–even better–not had one in the house where their mentally troubled son lived. There’s absolutely no excuse for him having had access to that firearm.
I agree that the company shares some blame, but ultimately it comes down to the fact that they gave this kid access to a gun, knowing full well that he had mental health issues.
Dude. Sentences are useful.
Trump has been deliberately framing himself as a protector of Israel who supports them doing whatever they want to.
Yeah, you’re misreading that.
They believe that taking a moral stand against the Democrats, who are supporting Israeli genocide, is worth it even if that means that Trump, who even more fervently supports Israeli genocide, becomes president.
This is a really sad story, but it’s also a story of parental neglect. Why did this kid with mental health issues have unrestricted internet access? Why did he have access to his stepfather’s gun?
Those aren’t the fault of some chatbot.
Also me, who just came back from the grocery store with a frozen pizza, four boxes of mac and cheese, and a bottle of whiskey.
