I don’t understand your argument. Wall street was designed so that you and i could own actual shares in companies. Companies which produce goods and/or services. What is the backing value of bitcoin other than others possibly wanting bitcoin? What backs it other than demand?

I have owned crypto. I have made a lot of money off crypto. But to think it is safer than traditional investing i think is a bit naive. It’s, so far, a supposed solution looking for a problem.

In the short term, sure. In the long term the S&P 500 averages 8%/year for 100 years. I would argue that is a much, much smaller gamble.

Take your free money and put into something with real, actual backing value. Ignore the gambler side - it’s just the devil on your shoulder. This is free money. Let it work for you over the next couple decades.

Tax payers pay out hundreds of billions over the years in tracking, enforcement, and incarceration, all yielding zero net gains. people are going to prison for life on a 3-strikes violation because they got caught with a dime bag of dope. The entire thing is an absolute clusterfuck and waste of money.

Then put it in the legislation to build safe sites. The wording of the legislation as it currently stands essentially bans use from anywhere; an out-of-site-out-of-mind approach. It is a poor approach to a public health crisis.

He is my MPP. I’ve been very impressed with him. I’ve emailed him a few times voicing concerns, and each time he (or somebody from his staff) has addresses my emails, point by point, and have been very open to discussions. While i haven’t agreed with his stance on all points, i have very much appreciated the two way dialog, and the time that was taken to craft the responses (they were not short replies).

I’m concerned the BoC is eating gummies for the first time. Me thinks they should increase lead times with each subsequent rate hike, lest the compound impact hits all at once, which it already will. Post behind a paywall so i couldn’t read it. But that looks like a Fun Guyz “medicinal mushroom dispensary” (which is funny because to my knowledge zoomers aren’t legal for any type of use).
