If you want Budgie, give Solus a try. It is an easy to maintain system, is rolling, stable, and independent.
I’m confused about why RIF still works on Reddit. I thought Reddit killed 3rd party apps.

Do yourself a favor and get an external hard drive. You’ll get much better results and can run almost any distro with it.

I never left. The problem before was access was limited to one person who went AWOL. Now the organization has redundancy and the crew of maintainers are motivated, dedicated, and hard working.
This crisis was exactly what Solus needed to gain lasting power.
Stable. Rolling. Independent. That’s what I want and Solus has been one of the few that really does this.
When he left, he passed off power to a single person. When that successor left, he passed it on to yet another single person. That as always the problem. The reform never happened until this recent crisis. Now there is a lot of redundancy and assurances that nothing is left to a single person. Thankfully.
All the power was in the hands of one person who came down with serous problems. The organization has since been reformed so that can never happen again. It is now in a good place.
Solus just came out with a new image and they are 100% rolling, 100% community driven. I’ve happily used Solus for many years.
At this point, every company not using 2FA is at fault for data hacks. Most people using the internet have logins to 100’s of sites. Knowing where to do to change all your passwords is nearly impossible for a seasoned internet user.
