Whenever I get nostalgic for a 1990s email client I install thunderbird
(Neo)mutt exists
if they can promise a not shit ui and more efficiency with large message operations im all for it. Those have been my complaints about thunderbird in the last year or two
Given the recent increase in momentum for Thunderbird development I was somewhat sceptical of it’s value, but that feature comparison hits a bunch of my Thunderbird bugbears.
I might migrate for a tray icon alone.
What more features does an email client need? It seems like a simple task that should be fully fleshed out by now.
Hide to tray has been requested by users for 20 years. It even has been promised multiple times.
