You could be like me and buy it on android, gog, Xbox, and steam (twice as I paid for my kid’s copy and then my own)… Although, tbh, all those copies were purchased over multiple years.
First got into it when Amazon offered it as their free app of the day. Gosh, that’s been a while ^^’
I played the game solo to get to good enough stuff to play with friends in a hardmode server (they would have provided equipment if I asked probably, but I preferred exploring the game by myself first). Ended up barely playing with friends.
Already own it, but sometimes I want to buy it again for the same reason. But also to try to get certain friends to play.

If I had friends and my own set time to just game I think it would be fun. But those types of games are not fun alone for me.
