P.s. Reddit mods deleted this because it “wasn’t related to the Steam Deck.”. This is my first post on Lemmy. Please be nice and at least let this languish in obscurity rather than remove it outright and cut off any hope of discussion. :(
I’m sharing this because I couldn’t neatly carry everything I wanted or needed to carry in the stock case, with the stock power adapter, and I think I got lucky with some accessory tetris from which others might benefit. I am pretty happy with my Steam Deck carrying case setup, but it’s not 100% perfect: the battery is just a bit too big, and the deckmate clip or adhesive square don’t help, but (almost) everything I want fits safely, if a bit snugly. I’m notably missing some earbuds.
I’m also sharing this because I’d like to know what your Steam Deck gear bag or carrying case setup looks like. Perhaps you also got lucky with your accessory purchases such that everything fits perfectly? If so, please share!

People who delete straight forward Steam Deck content from a Steam Deck forum are idiots.
On topic: looks like a nice selection. Any idea for a bag to hold 4 Xbox controllers in a way they don’t bang against each other and are protected from dust via a zipper on each compartment or so?
Instead of that get 4 8bit do lite 2 controllers.
And what would be the bag for that? As my point is about not banging against each other and no dust getting into the mechanical parts, just recommending another controller is really besides the point.
I cram 2 in the pocket of this

But yeah if you’re not worried about space then nvm. Just put the controllers in ziplocks or something.
I just keep the charger in the bag that came with it and keep that in the spot behind the elastic on the back of the hard case mine came with. I’m usually not using it long enough for it to die if I’m not near somewhere I can plug it in.
I don’t really have any cool accessories for my deck, but really appreciate you posting yours. I dig that charger and kickstand, I’ll probably pick up one of each. Thanks for taking the time to write this up!
I’ve been thinking about grabbing a Steam Deck, hence why I’m in this community. This shows me what it would be like to travel with one, so thanks for the write up!
I carry a backpack with the steam deck in its regular case. In my backpack I carry a 70% keyboard, a mouse, and a dock/hub thing to connect to a monitor/tv. I keep a Lenovo charger because the cord is very long. I guess I also keep an Xbox one controller. Everything is just tossed into the bag.
I did order a case on deep discount that could function to store more things should I not bring a backpack, but as if yet that hasn’t happened.
I do the same thing minus the controller!
This post made me realize I’ve never taken my SD out of the house. 😂
Also, welcome to Lemmy, great first post! 👍😎
I also just toss it in a backpack with the usual case, but jsaux makes a nice looking bag for it:

I like that they list if the UK plug fits now, it was a guessing game with some of the cases
I normally toss the steam deck into its case, then put that and all the peripherals into a backpack. But that jsaux bag looks pretty awesome…
Do you have any first hand experience with that bag?
Is is awesome! Add a portable monitor with internal battery and you have yourself quite the portable setup! :)
