If reception to Baldur’s Gate says anything, it’s that people hate microtransactions in their AAA games.

They were both sequels to great games which had fairly little to no microtransactions. I know I was let down by both, and haven’t played either still. And it’s pretty much never true that they don’t affect gameplay at all. How would you for example add mt:s to BG3 without it affecting the gameplay?
