Apple Inc. is canceling a decade-long effort to build an electric car, according to people with knowledge of the matter, abandoning one of the most ambitious projects in the history of the company.

    Yeah but you actually have to have an iPhone in order to use it because they are the world’s biggest dicks.

    You also need an Android phone for Android Auto.

    What we need then, isn’t an open source UI, but rather a standard API that could be implemented by any mobile OS (or just an app, even).
