Great job!
I love the mood you’ve created with the lighting, and the vulnerability. With the way your light is aimed, your shoulder/arm is picking up most of the light, and as the brightest spot in the photo it ends up drawing attention away from your face and expression.
Adjusting the light a bit to lessen the light on your shoulder and/or increase the light on your face would alleviate that.
Thank you, as I mentioned in another reply, I am not entirely comfortable with my face so hearing you want more of it in the frame is nice to hear. Glad you liked the photo.
I understand how you feel. A decade or so ago I did a daily self portrait project to both learn lighting and build my own self confidence/self acceptance. It’s a hard thing to do. I applaud you for putting yourself out there
There’s as much shoulder as head. Higher stand with a slight angle down, or just move the stand up.
Fair, would have liked more headroom as well. I am a bit tall and the stand I have does not go that high. If i ever attempt again will keep the framing in mind a bit more. Thank you
Happy to help. To help.with the issue you mention, you could set the stand on a box or sit down on a stool.
It looks great! Something about it gives off an aura of vulnerability! Really impactful.
Thank you. never put myself in front of my own camera for the 10 years I have been at it. Definitely feel a bit vulnerable. I appreciate your view of it.
I really like the lighting choice.
Loved your Inside special
Lol, I’ll take Bo
It looks awesome! I recommend keeping your eyes facing the same direction as your face otherwise the whites of the eyes can look unsettling
Thank you
Looks out of one of those Viking tv shows.
