Do you know the differences between them? These look noticeably thinner to me but idk.
This is the verdict I got from my seek app. I am not any kind of expert who could contradict that.
The easiest way to tell is the contrast in colors. True turkey tails have pretty dark and distinct banding. The undersides are white and smooth with visible pores, false turkey tails are usually colored on both sides. They have a very firm texture and neutral smell, though that’s not very useful in IDing these particular ones since lookalikes are often the same texture and smell

There aren’t any toxic lookalikes that I’m aware of. They’re a pretty safe one to forage for due to the ease of ID. However, most people consume them for medicinal purposes so you’d be missing out on those if you wound up with a false turkey tail
