See this is what I don’t get about vegans or vegeterians. They buy these products that all resemble meat products in one way or another, but then complain if you eat meat 🤔. Apparently, they like to eat meat as well, they just wanna be posh about it.

The plant-based product is more environmentally friendly and doesn’t kill an animal.

I don’t know how that’s hard to grasp, good luck out there friend.

The animal wouldn’t be alive in the first place if we weren’t intending to eat it

            That’s sort of the point.

Instead of water, land and resource use growing corn and soybeans and supplements to raise a calf to slaughter weight, just eat the vegetables.

One of the most environmentally friendly things you can do.

Hard to grasp as in, you’re against animal cruelty, but still, you’d like to eat products that resemble meat… that’s like me giving up sex with real people, but I decide just to use fuck dolls… am I really not having sex? Have you seen how lifelike some of these dolls can be?

This seems pretty simple to me, plant based alternatives looking like meat doesn’t make them equitable to animal cruelty.

It’s the pretend part that’s confusing to me. Why actually eat something shaped and tasting like what carnivores eat. Why does it have to resemble meat products? You obviously don’t like hurting animals, why pretend that an animal died to serve you this meal.

A vegan earlier explained it to me that these are mostly things that vegans would eat at carnivore social events, like barbecues, in which case, yes, it does make sense.

Do you not get cravings for food?

Eating is enjoyable, and to eat different foods is a different experience. Different smells, tastes, textures. Some people enjoy the experience of eating meat, they enjoy the taste, the texture. When they quit eating meat for ethical issues they still remember that they enjoyed meat.

So if you enjoy eating meat and only stopped due to the ethical issues, why wouldn’t you create a substitute?

It’s like a lesbian! Just because you aren’t attracted to a man, or don’t want to be with one, doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a dildo.

Oh… well, in that case, I guess it’s OK. I thought you guys ate that stuff regularly, like every day. Cuz I’ve tried it and I didn’t like most of it… mainly because it was advertised as “compareable in taste to meat”, which wasn’t true IMO. I mean, if they just marketed it as “soy beans mashed with vegetables in a round form, which you can cook”, yeah, I’d probably like it. But saying it tastes similar to meat… ummm, no, I’m sorry, that’s just not true.
