  • Absolutely not. History has shown that violence works. The Sufragettes protested peacefully for 40 years with no result whatsoever. They won because they became violent. The French revolution was a success because they resorted to violence. The American revolution was a success because they resorted to violence. Peaceful demonstrations don’t work, sorry guys.

    I lived in the NW of England until recently. Pesticides have killed the bugs and it very rarely gets hot. Last year it rained throughout the summer and didn’t really get any warmer than 15C.

    Also, houses with thick stone walls keep out the heat. Years ago we had a long heatwave and it got no warmer than 20C inside.

    We had a blackbird in the back yard who was adopted by a flock of sparrows. Initially her mum died and her dad fed her, then dad disappeared and she started begging food from the sparrows. They obliged and she was part of their flock from then on, even when she got a husband.
