Specifically the upper peninsula region, and probably more rural, they sound quite similar to that stereotypical Canadian accent. The first time I met someone from there (born and raised country boy), I legit thought he was from Canada due to that stereotype (I’m older and wiser now).

Domesticated is a bit of a stretch, especially when we often hope they still hunt rodents. 😜

They tolerate us, and maybe often love us, but would not hesitate to survive without us.

Cats are independent people that choose to continue to live with you because it’s nice. Most of them can find a way out if they want it.

Yeah that’s super fair. I mean I chose the book. 😅 and it was really interesting.

I had the same trouble with the Sagan cosmos series. That bastard was so boring to listen to but his content was so engaging I couldn’t sleep. I kept hearing it be interesting. Feynman lectures, too. So dull, but engaging.

I listened to a book about the history of the number zero years ago. I thought it would be boring enough to fall asleep to. It fucking sounds boring. It still sounds boring, all these years later.

Either I’m a bigger nerd than I thought or the history of zero is actually super interesting and I’m super unsure which, tbh.
